What is engineering data annotation
Engineering data annotation is professional review of calculations, specifications, troubleshooting steps, and related artifacts so an AI system can be trained or evaluated against a practicing engineer’s standard. Fluent technical prose is not evidence that a design would be allowed to proceed.
Technical reasoning, not generic STEM literacy
Many engineering model errors are unit errors, omitted load cases, impossible manufacturing sequences, or codes cited without checking applicability. A general technical rater can follow the prose. An engineer can tell whether the design would be allowed to proceed.
Separate pages by discipline are not created until there is enough unique demand and content. Until then, the brief should name the discipline, the codes or tools that matter, and the seniority required.
